Celebration Gerhard Oberhammer

Gerhard Oberhammer, founder of the De Nobili Research Library ("Sammlung De Nobili"), long-term editor of the "Publications of the De Nobili Research Library" and the related "Occasional Papers," and founding chairperson of the association, celebrated his ninetieth birthday on June 18, 2019. To honor him and his achievements on this occasion, the association organized a festive function which was held on Friday, June 28, 2019, at the University of Vienna. The event included the eleventh Annual De Nobili Lecture delivered by Francis X. Clooney, SJ, and the presentation of the Festschrift "gurum upapadyāmahe: The Volume Dedicated to Professor Gerhard Oberhammer on the Occasion of His 90th Birthday", published as a special Open Access issue of the journal Cracow Indological Studies. It also marked the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the association.
